The Office of the Assembly is the administrative arm of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. Our mandate is to provide non-partisan support services to all Members of Provincial Parliament.
As Deputy Clerk and Executive Director, Legislative Services you will support the Legislative Assembly of Ontario by assisting with leading our vision to respect tradition, exemplify service and promote innovation in providing support and service to the Members of Provincial Parliament.
To carry out this exciting mandate you will assist the Clerk with the orderly operation of the House, provide procedural advice to the Speaker and MPPs, and prepare draft procedural rulings as well as draft motions, resolutions and amendments. In addition, you will provide executive leadership and strategic direction to the Legislative Services Division, ensuring its high-quality delivery of non-partisan services by overseeing the key areas of procedural services, the parliamentary TV broadcast network, Hansard, interpretation services, all-party committees and other procedural services, parliamentary protocol and public relations.
This position requires a highly credible leader with extensive related management experience to support the senior management team. Your diverse experience dealing with people, understanding the parliamentary system and duties of the Members, and reputation for impartiality and integrity will be key in this role. Adept in managing significant resources and building collaborative environments, you bring a proven ability to lead teams in a complex and dynamic organization. You have a history of exercising sound judgment and providing sound advice which will be critical to your success in this role.
